David Brubacher - interm pastor David Brubacher began as full-time interim pastor at Bethany in September 2011. Since 1978 Dave has served as a pastor or interim pastor in seven congregations (6 MCEC). In September 2009 he completed a two year term as interim pastor at the Toronto United Mennonite Church where he assisted in leading the congregation in recasting its vision for future ministry. Dave also served as the executive staff person (Minister to Conference) for MCEC for six years. Earlier he served 9 years on the CMBC board and chaired the board for 3 years during which time the initiatives leading to the forming of CMU began. In his congregational and denominational work Dave has become firmly convinced of the importance of vision oriented leadership in order for an organization to achieve its stated mission. Upon leaving his position with MCEC in 2005 Dave fulfilled a dream of some 30 years earlier and started a small carpentry business, Made to Fit Carpentry. In 2006 Dave joined ARC as an associate. He primarily does clergy coaching. Currently Dave moves between interim ministry assignments, carpentry and his work with ARC. Dave continues to live in Vineland with his wife Lynda. They have three adult children and four grandchildren. |
Marty Misener - associate pastor Marty grew up in Welland, Ontario. Marty’s life before having a relationship with Christ was characterized by rebellion, which included heavy drug and alcohol abuse. It wasn’t until he entered into a heartfelt relationship with Christ that he began to feel healing and restoration both within his own life as well as in his relationships with others. As the Associate Pastor at Bethany, he freely shares about God, His love for others, and His power in transforming his life and it inspires him to see God working to bring about healing and transformation within other people’s lives as well. His job focuses on youth, young adults, and leadership within Celebration Service.
