Randy and Renate Klaassen

In September 2008 Pastors Randy and Renate celebrated 10 years of ministry with Bethany.

As Bethany's Leading Pastor Randy enjoys stories of the Bible and likes to hear how God's story shapes our personal stories today. Through his preaching, Randy describes God as One who calls us each by name, who seeks us through life experiences, and redeems us through Jesus' death and resurrection.

As Bethany's Assistant Pastor and Worship Coordinator Renate finds her ministry most rewarding when all the planning and all the gifts and abilities of the church s worship leaders come together, infused with the awesome presence of the Spirit, and touch the hearts of worshippers.

Bethany Mennonite Church is seeking to add to its Pastoral Team the role of an Associate Pastor.

This full-time position calls for a passion for ministry and desire to work with the support of a team which includes mentoring from Mennonite Church Eastern Canada.

We envision a person who can give leadership with our youth & young adult ministry teams, provide leadership with our contemporary worship team, and preach approximately once a month.

As a member of the pastoral team, the Associate is expected to model spiritual leadership, developing spiritual seekers, growing disciples, and engaging spiritual gifts.

Specific training is an asset, yet not a requirement. Bethany has a strong record of training Associates who have a desire to grow in ministry.

Candidates are expected to submit Ministerial Leadership Information (MLI) through Mennonite Church Eastern Canada.
