Mennonite Church website
Bethany is a place where Jesus
Christ meets with friends.
Located in Virgil, Ontario; it
began in the mid'60's as German speaking Mennonites of the Niagara-on-the-Lake
region transitioned the worship language to English. The purpose was
and continues to be to invite friends and neighbours to share together
as a Christian faith community in the Mennonite / Anabaptist faith tradition.
Worship services at Bethany reflect a mix of traditional and contemporary
styles of worship. Hearing, experiencing, and responding to God are
important activities of our private and community worship. Without focusing
on the God who created us, our lives become fragmented and directed
by the latest loud influences clamoring for our homage. Various groups
of Bethany provide leadership in guiding a variety of activities to
encourage and support a living faith in God through Jesus.
