Bethany is a place where Jesus
Christ meets with friends.
Located in Virgil, Ontario; Bethany began in the mid'60's as groups
of young families sought to share worship and fellowship in the English
language. The vision was, and continues to be, Christians inviting
their friends and neighbours to share together as a community in the
Mennonite / Anabaptist faith tradition.
Worship services at Bethany reflect a mix of traditional and contemporary
styles of worship. Hearing, experiencing, and responding to God are
important activities of our private and community worship. Focusing
on the God who created us prevents our lives from becoming fragmented
by the latest loud influences clamoring for attention. Various groups
of Bethany provide leadership in guiding a variety of activities to
encourage and support a living faith in God through Jesus.
