It all began in 1998 when Linn introduced the world’s first high end network-able music storage and playback system: the Kivor. The Kivor was a unique idea at the time foreshadowing to the world that Linn would be a pioneer in the world of multi-room, digital stream, and network playback. Kivor allowed the storage of music and simultaneous playback in up to 128 different rooms of a networked home, hotel, or yacht.
As the evolutionary prototype for digital stream playback, Linn’s new idea was extremely advanced for its day, offering storage, ripping, distribution and playback from the trio called Kivor.
