Tribute to WomenTRIBUTE TO WOMEN
October 17, 2000

This sculpture was commissioned to celebrate the passionate spirit of women who volunteer in our community.
It recognizes the significant achievements of women's organizations. The hope is to inspire young women to step forward and meet the challenges that will continue to face women of all ages.
The artist, Karen Daniels, used metal, granite, quarry rock and welding techniques to join vital elments of earth, fire and air in tribute to women. The statue has been placed on the grounds of the St. Catharines Centennial Library.
Canadian Federation of University Women is proud to join with other women's organizations in
St. Catharines to make this statue a reality.
