My CL14 has a serial# stamped on the outside starboard of the transom - I believe its the last 2 numers are the year of production.

Thanks for the reply. There are no marking on the transom. As far as I know there
were two cockpit styles used on 14's. One the centerboard tunnel stopped short of the front of the cockpit, and the main sail controls are at the back of the boom. this is the older style.Mine is the newer style. As far as I know I am the third owner .The person I bought boat from got it second hand around 1989. Once again any help would be great

You may have to phone the CL people.
I can tell you that it's older than 1985
My hull (& sail) # 1347 is a 1985 model and the # is clearly marked on the transom.

Hello,

Lablover your boat is a 1976 CL14. Ordered in June 1976, built with 2 bailers and delivered in August of that year to Silent Sports (the dealer)

Thanks Cody, Find it hard to beleive it had bailers . The person who removed them did one heck of a pro glass job it looks original without them

Lablover
