I have a 1976 CL14 (#359). The jib sheets frequently hang up in the fairlead when letting out the sheet on tacking and jibing. The space between the fairlead and the cleat is narrow and binds the sheet if. Also the opening in the fairlead points directly abeam but maybe a 45 degree angle would work better. Anyone else have the same problem? Has the design been improved since 1976? Any suggestions on how to fix it? Thanks!

I have hull/sail # 1347 from 1985. My setup seems to be as you described.

What size line are you using? Use no more then 5/16" - 3/8"
Cheers
