I just got rid of my 16' MFG Bandit. It was not particularly stable and I could not right it by myself. Consequently I had to sail it very conservatively and it wasn't all that much fun. (Also it was 40 years old and falling apart).
So, how is the CL16 for stability and ease of righting?
I am now sailing a 13' that capsizes if you look at it funny, but goes right back up just as easily. But, I am looking for something bigger.
thanks.

VERY stable. Robert had to hand on his halyard on shore to finally get it to capsize. Don't know about righting it though, as I've never had the boat capsize on me.

Along with that I've also taken the boat out on many occasion in 20-25 knot winds under reefed main alone with absolutely no fear of capsizing. When I performed my capsize drill last summer I found the boat very easy to 'right'.

Refer to my logs and capsize drill for more info if you wish.
