What paint should I use on fiberglass repair?
I currently have Tremclad Rust Paint to use but.... it doesn't say anywhere about being used for fiberglass (those Canadian Tire helpers aren't so much help) only metal and possibly wood.

Really fast replies are appreciated, as I doubt my dad'll stand long the idea of my sailboat doing nothing in the garage.

THanks.

I wouldn't use Tremclad. Read somewhere that the chemicals in it could harm your fibreglass.
Go to a half decent paint or boating store and check out the Interlux topsides paint

I used Brightside Polyeurethane from Interlux on all of the topsides of the hull on my 18ft boat. It's a one part paint, and looks really good when you use a small roller. It dries overnight and you should apply a second coat. Kust doing one small area of a hull is difficult because it's hard to match a paint colour to the existing gelcoat colour.
However, if you're only repairing a very small part of the fibreglas, you can try to use two part gelcoat epoxy and blend several tints to try to match the original gelcoat colour.

That sounds too complex and I've already applied the first coat.... it looks almost the same, just... brighter and newer.
