I've come across a CL14 that may end up being available for sale. From what I can tell, it was built by Waterhouse & May Ltd., and sold to whoever owns it by C&L Boatworks, 884 Dillingham Rd, Pickering, ONT. Is this company the predecessor of CL Sailboat Shop? The only Serial or Identification # I can find is #1423. I'd like to know when the boat was built and if there's a registered owner.

Hello:

Waterhouse and May are the same entity as C & L boatworks. There should be a serial number on the starboards side transom (back of boat to the top right corner) it should start with CLWO. If you read our FAQ at www.clsailboats.com/faq.htm you can learn more about the serial numbers and how to date your boat. We (CL Sailboat Shop) purchased C & L Boatworks in 1993.

I will check the sail number (1423) when I get a chance and post a reply.
