Last week on the Trailer Sailor board, someone posted a link re preparing sailboats for hurricanes. I just got around to looking at it. It's prepared in a joint effort of Texas A&M University and Houston Yacht club and some others.

It has instructions for every boat storage senario, mooring, trailer, docking etc. Interesting read. Worth a look to see how your preparations stack up with those in the Gulf of Mexico area! http://nsgl.gso.uri.edu/tamu/tamug84007.pdf

Sorry, it's after the fact for our Nova Scotia/PEI friends.

Cheers, Eric

D'oh!
I'll study this for the 'next time'.
Wonder where Hurricane Kate will make landfall?
