A friend and I are hoping to do some ice-sailing sometime this winter. Theoretically the boats can go as much as 5x the speed of the true wind. I also hear it can be a very rough ride and downright dangerous if one of the runners should get caught in a rut in the ice. Nevertheless it looks to be a lot of fun. Who says ya can't sail year-round in Canada??
