Does anyone have a suggestion on how to free the inspection ports on the centre board trunk? They are stuck and I am concerned with breaking the plastic if I try to force them open.

Thanks all.

Dan;

I cross threaded my ports one time and it took a lot of persuasion to get them loose. They are stronger than you think. I'd say keep twisting them with as much force as you can.

Dan:
The inspection ports are quite tough. I've watched guys hammer them with the end of a tiller.
Usually, with two tools, Ie: wrench and screw driver or two wrenches, you can get some leverage buy wedging one tool on either side of the recessed turning indentations. You then brace one tool against the other and twist.
Some marine supply stores actually sell a special tool for twisting off inpection ports.
