I heard about someone who had to replace a mast because they stored it improperly. What is the proper way? My boat (similar to CL16) is trailered and the mast is resting on two wood blocks with 'V' cuts (one on the bow and one on the transom) and secured to the boat via straps at the blocks. The sail track is pointing down as I noticed that when travelling it flops around less than when tied down on its side.
Thanks,
RAB

One advantage of the CL 14 mast is..it can be stored in a 12 x 20 garage.
I installed vinyl covered hooks on my roof rafters. The 21.5 foot mast will go in
'kitty corner' It's high & dry, out of the way.

On the boat I have 3 points of contact.
Ont the front of the trailer I have a post with the v connected to the winch post, I have a block on the rear of the foredeck and a block on the lazarette deck.
For winter or long term storage I spread it across the garage ceiling and have at least 4 supports connected to the ceiling joists.
