Well sorry that i did not get a Sandpiper guys and that this section my go to waste and sit here unwritten.

So here is an update on the S2 6.8.
I have done research on the company "S2 Yachts" and have not unearth very much. only to find out lots of files and the boat and rudder molds have disappeared.S2 Yachts have not made sailboats since 1987 now they make gasoline fueled monsters.

I am unsure of how many years they made the S2 sailboats but it is about 13years. During the 13yrs they made 150 of the S2 6.8. My boat was made in 1978 and is #93.

As for the Sandpipers, CL made about 1300 of the pipers.

Did Tom confirm that '1300' number?
It's a bit confusing how they allotted the hull numbers on potential orders which may..or may not have been filled.

Tom said there was about 1300 made the production of those boats were before he took ownership of the Cl sailboat company.

Well today was waxing wash and laying out sails on the lawn. Gelcoat compounding is almost done then it is high gloss shining. Sails are in great shape for 30years old. But i found my S2 6.8 number today. Its 93/150 boats made between 1974-1987. So thats all for now.

Well I know what work is slaving over my boat washing waxing and then varnishing the teak is next this boat is a lot of work compared to a well kept boat. 3yrs of nothing done has made the job a lot bigger. Compounding and high gloss waxing is a big job by hand with 18' of waterline.

Since I was last here my dad and i have done a lot replacing wires reconnected the unconnected replacing fuses and the mast lighting connector which had not been up dated in a longgggg time. But after every day when i have time to work on her she looks better.

We the boat is now in shop for new Halyards ,docklines, fittings for reefing the main sail.

Yep shes in. My mother says i can't leave till i bring her what she needs from the garage.

Today scrub down the floor because i have a leak from the "damp it" container. vacuum and ready to sail by 1pm or earlier today. It will be a short video so its easy to send.

Wish Me luck on my first Sail.

Well The sail was good lasted an hour in the evening had to wait for that storm to pass.

Well I have some gauge issues 1. Depth gauge reads 0 2. Sr Marine Knot gauge does not go to fast( I was at least going 3-5knots and was reading zero but it was going up a bit. No water problems "yet".
