........the wisps of gray sea smoke hovered over the warmer surface water of the harbour in the early morning sunlight today.......the full moon was still dimly visible in the western sky......the two underwater de-icers and four electric heaters inside our 35 foot sailboat are working overtime and it was around 65F inside, but we're still having fun!

We've put a heater on low inside the engine compartment...the remote temperature monitor says it's around 58F inside the engine room enclosure...warm enough to not worry about having not winterized it.

Our boots are kept outside in the cockpit and were kinda cool to put on this morning......as a special treat I bought ice cream after work and Lynn and I had some neighbours over for coffee and dessert last night....the ice cream's a real treat 'cause not many boats have freezers. There's now a bucket of Bryer's chocolate fudge ripple in a plastic bag outside the boat...hanging on a railing in mother nature's own deep freeze! Hope the local samoid pup can't reach it before we get home from work!

I hope that hope you are finding your own ways to keep warm........

Cheers from Ken and Lynn aboard in Toronto Harbour, aboard Silverheels III
