Author Topic:   It starts! whited unregistered posted May 28, 2004 02:20 PM            Made my way to a local Evinrude dealer this afternoon. I wanted an operators maual for the 1986 Yachtwin 6hp o/b that came with my 'Piper. I ended up spending close to a $ 100.00 on a new fuel tank and bulb/hose unit to connect tank with motor. The original metal tank was corroding on the bottom from being partially submersed in the lazarette. (those darn little seat drain holes were clogged when I got the boat and allowed water to enter) The fuel line was very stiff so I figured I may as well replace it too. A litre of 2 stroke oil completed the purchase. The counter guy gave me a lead where to find a manual so I'll try that out. Plus I'm still trying to contact the original owner so I can have a paper trail on the trailer...as demanded by NS Registry of Motor vehicles. Seems the trailer was never registered in Quebec.
