Well folks it's like this.

All summer I've been jealously reading about your sailing excursions as I sit many provinces away from my beloved Celtic Kiss. But now it's my turn to fill my sails. Ironically enough most of you are packing up for the winter while I'm just getting started.

In any event my computer time will be greatly reduced and I will have to rely on friends and family to get access to this site. But when I get my chance I'll be checking in on you to see how you're all doing. We've become a bit of a family haven't we?

I will be arriving in Halifax Oct. 19 at around 5:00 pm. I will stay there for a few days and then head to the Strait of Canso area to actually do the boat modifications I've been blabbing about for the past umpteen months. Then I will conduct extensive sea trials (weather permitting).

Hey Don, check your e-mail. Maybe we can meet for a beer !!!

Great to hear that you will be sailing Celtic Kiss. I tried your spreaders made from copper pipe. Mine work great, they stiffen up the rigging nicely. I had some aluminum primer that I painted them with and they match the mast. My rubber boots for the shrouds fit good also. I think KatieAnn is away for the winter. Old men that spend the winters in Florida get cold to easily. I am delaying the tent until I get some warmer weather to set mast and boom up. I plan to take one of the mainsails and add reefing. I have downloaded a lot of info from the Wayfarer site. I plan to use outdoor fiberglass carpet tape. I have some sail material that I will tape on with two layers of the carpet tape. The canvas shop putting a window in my jib said that they would sew seams around my patching. I have the gromets and kit from making a sail for my D4.
Hope your trip east was pleasant, and Good sailing.
