Am trying to set up an CL-16 we just bought, but am reluctant to take it out til can get the turnbuckle rigging right. Because this rigging was set up without any TOGGLES anywhere, a fundamental rigging blunder, much of the rigging around the lower terminals shows fatigue and deformation. I.e., the chainplate extension is slightly twisted, the lower fork/jaw turnbuckle bolt is bent, and the fork jaws themselve are also deformed. Can i obtain this same turnbuckle assembly for the three staying wires with built in TOGGLES so as not to repeat the same mistake made by the original rigging design, and so as not to further deform the chainplate arm ? I seem unable to merely re-rig the boat because the chainplate clevis pin hole is 5/16", and it's difficult to find small turnbuckle assemblies with toggled terminals for that size chainplate hole. Any suggestions would be very welcome...i hope to get sailing this season! Thank you...

my previous message contained an ERROR. The
chainplate hole size was given as 5/16". That is WRONG, an erratum. The correct size is 3/16" . (N.B. I've entered this second forum comment because didn't know how to retrieve and correct typos in the original comment.) Thank you...

You should call CL sailboats and ask them. The number is somewhere in this site. My boat is very old so I may have different stay connections.
If you EMAIL CL it sometimes takes a while for an answer. Calling during normal business hours they can give you an immediate response.
good sailing and you have a great boat.
