How beachable is the 565? My sailing environs will require a boat that can float with the tide, and rest on a relatively flat sandy bottom at low tide. I've heard the S565 can do this, but do any of you veterens have any first hand experiance(s)? Thanks for any input.

I had to beach my Sandpiper one day to rescue a drifting rowboat. The keel should be raised completely (96 turns) and then the two keelsons will help to prevent hull damage as long as the beach isn't too pebbly or rough.
Some sand might enter the gap between the keel and centreboard trunk but it should flush out when the boat's underway. Make sure the keel screw is properly greased. See my previous post on this topic.
