I'm looking at buying a sailboat for the cottage and wondered about the CL-16. Does it require two to sail? And also, what should I expect to pay (Can$) for a used one, say mid 1980s... Any advice re. the CL-14 is also welcome.
Thanks, Chris B, Newboro Lake cbiber@rogers.com

the advice I got three years ago from Jos at Quiet Waters... http://www.sailboatsales.com/ both are good boats and recommended by him The CL 14 will capsize a bit easier since it's lighter, but on the other hand is easier to right. Both can be single-handed, although my impression was the 14 is easier. I bought the 14 because I knew the seller, the boat was almost perfect, and I couldn't rely on my wife to crew.

I started with a 14 and moved up to a 16 a few years later. Both can be single handed but the 14 is a little easier since it carries a bit less sail. I have my 16 for sale at the moment since I haven't been able to sail her much in the last 5 years and don't see that situation changing in the near future.
