I have a cl14, when taking the boat out of the water there is a lot of water that comes out of the drain, is this normal? or is the auto bailer not working right? or is it proper that it takes on water between the hulls to use as balast

I wonder if the water gets in where the centerboard pivots.

personally i've never removed the plugs on my boat we tent to just leave them in.

Thank you very much for your help, my boat came without the plugs, I will get a plug and sail it with it in, I cant say it did not sail well with out it as it did,...thanks again for our help

Sorry...didn't realize you were talking about the little white plug that has a bayonet type fitting on the lower transom. Just before I bought my CL 14 second hand the original owner went to a local marine supply store to replace the missing one on my boat. They must be a common size. I believe they are less than $ 5.00 I wouldn't sail my boat without it. I'd be concerned about taking on extra weight.

The plugs are common to just about every marine store, we sell them for $4.00 a pop. You need to sail with the plugs IN.
