Thanks Michel. Wonderful to see a collection of Sandpiper photos.
Some of the boats must be serious racers. I was struck by the padding on the life lines. We rarely sit up on the comming prefering to sit in the comfortable cockpit.

You are welcome. Hey Dennis, I can tell you, the smile grows a lot bigger when I untie her...

D'Arcy, Yes, Denis had some of his pics taken while racing on Aylmer lake in Quebec. My friend was also going all out, trying to distance me during our meeting on the Saint-Laurent. I personaly think that sitting near the cabin will make a Piper sail better than having her heal too much (IMHO) ;-)

Here’s a couple of pictures of Shortwave moving along smartly with weight forward. The first one was taken by Stan at Rendezvous 2005.
The second picture is taken at Rendezvous 2006. The wind is light so I’m sitting on the low side to heal the boat slightly. It’s important to tell your wife that as they are the “lightest” crew member they should sit on the high side and you being the “heavier” one, will sit on the low side.
Our tiller extension is from an old Laser and is a bit short. As a result it’s difficult to sit right up to the cabin because you have to lean back to steer. It would be nice to have a longer extension. (Perhaps Father’s day?)
