Does anyone know if the old wooden centerboards can be replaced with the new fibreglass ones?
Also, the bottom attachment/pivot point for the rudder has become loose. I cannot see any way to tighten it because there are nuts inside the bilge area which are inaccessible, and it fact, when I tried to take it apart to try to fix it, one of the nuts fell inside the bilge area.
Also, I was wondering if anyone out there had any experience with a spinaker or a trapeze on this boat. Is it worth outfitting this boat with either of these options?
Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Chris

I had bought a new fiberglass centerboard for my 1985 CL14. The original plywood version de-laminated while the boat was stored under a tarp for several years.

I had the same problem with the loose rudder attachment points on my CL14. I installed an access plate in the center of the horizontal back deck/seat area so I could access those nuts. I replaced the original wooden pintle and gudgeon spacers with plastic material. These parts are available from CL, but I was able to find what I needed locally.
