I am sorry to bring up a already covered topic, but looking at the old post I can not understand how they post the pictures.

It is my understanding that they(people posting pictures) have a personal web site and simply link their pictures there. If I don't have a web site how do I go from a picture stored in my computer to turning it into a link.

Thank You very much
Remi

Remi ;
Most of us use a free picture storage website, there are many to choose from. I use www.photobucket.com
Ypu go there create an album by uploading the pictures from your computer to there server, you then include the link to your album or picture in your post here.

Remi;
If you want the picture to open in your post then link it like this but use [ ] instead of { }.

What great photos Remi!! Beautiful sails too! Thanks for posting them!

It appears to me that your spinn pole topping lift is in two pieces. I've been struggling with that issue on my Sandpiper. The PO never rigged the topping lift. The manual has the termination point of the toppping lift at the same height as the spreaders. That's taller than me . It also means if I permanently connect it, there'll be a big long shock cord hanging around. Your solution might do the trick.
Does this method you show work well for you?

BTW, what lake is that you're sailing on?

Eric,
What I am using right now form my topping lift is a bungee cord. and for my uphaul downhaul a normal haylard sized line. I connect the two. The trick as far as I know is too get the right lengh of bungee(shock) cord vs the rope used as the uphaul downhaul. once the topping lift is on the mast you must experiment with different line lenghts by supporting the pole(with the uphaul downhaul knots) as you adjust the line. I will eventually replace the bungee cord with shock cord. My topping lift is permanently(when the mast is up) on the mast at spreader height on a clip. When the spinny pole is not in use the shock cord(bungee cord) takes the slack of the uphaul downhaul so that the hole line is not in the way. because I am using a bungee cord and not a shock cord the slack is not all taken away so I simply wrap the slack wich is the uphaul downhaul part around the spinnaker cleat. But I am sure that if you use if you use a shock cord and experiment with different lenghts you can get the slack removed without wrapping it around a cleat.

I can get you photos of it close up if it would help.

Believe it or not but the name of the lake is Remi Lake. It is near Moonbeam Ont
