In her latest attempt to organize me, my wife gave me this for Father's Day. Now if I can just find all my tools to place in the drawers... IP: 156.34.91.186 |

Lemme guess...the new toolbox will be rust-proofed and installed just forward of the centreboard trunk?IP: 141.117.228.250 |

You're giving us all "tool box envy". D'ArcyIP: 67.68.50.41 |

What do you think? All boating related stuff on top and locked where the wife can't get at it?IP: 156.34.91.186 |

Hey now! I resent the sentiments expressed in this thread! I think that in a perfect world, every couple would have identical his 'n hers tool chests just like the one that whited posted. Maybe hers could be a more attractive color, though, such as lavender. Christy

Nice kit, Don. Christy, I too wish I had his 'n' hers. Can you envision my 110 lb bride of 26 years, the shingler, in her pink suede carpenter's apron, twin Estwings wrapped in hot pink Slazenger grips, pockets loaded with Hershey kisses (works better on cooler days ), toting her 22" Cdn Tire kit filled with pink-handled tools, topped with Hm Hdwe hot pink baseball cap, ponytail poked through the back - ready to rip your roof off? 32 days to Rendezvous.

We each have our own tools reflecting our personal expertise. Lynn has her own carbon filter dust mask (for sanding fiberglass). She also has her own chain saw. I seem to have more electrical based tools for wiring. D'ArcyIP: 67.70.120.179 |

My wife has suggested buying tool chests to put kitchen utensils, sewing supplies, fabric etc. She thinks they are attractive. IP: 67.107.33.106 |

Costco has a stainless steel version. That might be better than the black or the usual fire engine red. IP: 156.34.91.186 |

Stan...does your wife really shingle roofs? I wish you lived closer to here. I still have a missing asphalt shingle tab right at my peak (two story house with 9/12 roof) from Hurricane Juan a while back.

I've had exceptionally good results with this two-step procedure, Don. Back up a dumpster and watch from the street; don't stand too close. And, keep nails in the left apron pocket, Laura Secords in the right. Seriously, she likes to be included, just wants to help. And does it all for love, and a word of appreciation. No doubt pretty much like most of our beautiful wives. (The new master suite under the new shingles is nice too.) Thanks, girls, for all you do for us guys, and for keeping us organized, too. I'll pass these lovely sentiments which are expressed here to Lynn when she emerges from the engine space after she reinstalls our 2 cylinder Volvo diesel's water pump; which was removed to replace the seals.IP: 141.117.228.250 |
