Canada Day weekend sail. Note the custom designed drink holders. Lynn made these. The pattern is an aboriginal turtle motif.
Shortwave reaching by the Rosseau lighthouse.

One of my favorite boathouses designed for a sailboat. I believe there are only 3 of this type in Ontario.

Very nice, looks like you had the same great weather Montreal had this weekend. Where is that boathouse? I have never seen one like that!IP: 70.50.247.209 |

The boathouse is located just ouside the Village of Rosseau which is at the very north end of Lake Rosseau. The area has amazing architecture; nestled in the rocky shoreline of the Canadian Shield, surrounded by tall pine and spruce trees, lit by golden northern sunlight. And I almost forgot; clear clean water. It's only about a 35 minute drive from Parry Sound. Our Rendezvous location has all the same magnificent elements as Lake Rosseau but with steadier winds. So if you were planing a trip to the Rendezvous, you could easily trailer here for another day or two of great sailing. Make a week of it. D'Arcy IP: 67.68.51.242 |

That boathouse is neet. someone told us that there is one somewhat similar on St. Margaret's Bay, half an hour south west of Halifax. A former Ford Autor dealer built it and a well known former Montreal Canadien hockey player bought it from him a few years back. I've sailed right by it. When I get that way again I'll snap a few pictures.IP: 156.34.91.186 |
