Today I went downtown and took the ferry over to Dartmouth just to get on the water. Sure was nice to feel the deck under my feet although the strong north wind was frigid and the temp about 3 C. One more month should make quite a difference around here as our springs are usually late.

I was at my Yacht club today, people were booking their launch time!!! wooohooo, sailing time is near!!!, Mine will go in when it is done, hopefully by the end of this month.

FYI for all here, I am planning on racing it this year in a weekly race series. Without spinnaker (even though I got one today!!!) I am in the mist of getting my handicap finalized, so as I race, I will keep everone posted!!!

I'd love to know what your handicap will be and how well the 'Piper does. I assume it'll be in the 'C' class??

Wooooooooo Hooooooo she's home.

Just pulled Barefoot from storage today. Before I brought her home I took her to the car wash and took the high pressure gun to her. Very dissapointed that most of the grime did not come off. I guess it'll take some elbow grease to make her shine.

I'm hoping to have her in the water in 3 to 4 weeks. At the same time I'm freaking out because I don't know if I can get everything done in time.

Does anyone know of some great cleaners to help bring the shine back? everything is very dull.

How can you tell if the gelcoat is thining or gone?
