All of the sudden I understand why you all like the boat so much! My wife and I took the boat out for the first time this weekend and absolutely love it! Great weather + great boat = great weekend.

Good for you Ryan. Did you tell us your sail # yet? Can't wait until I get my sails back. It's been two weeks now...so I'll have to start calling. This week I hope to get the five windows installed that have been taking up space in my house for a month. Then all my meagre talents and resources will be lavished on my 'Piper.

The sail number that came on the sails is 369. The previous owner was telling me though that the boat had been broken in to and the sails replaced so I am not certain that the sail number is correct. The rigging manual that the owner gave me says 797. I can not find on the hull a number. There is a plate on the stern that has the sandpiper insignia but is farely worn out making it hard to read. I was wondering if I get the original owners name if CL has a record of the buyers and from that the sail number? Problem is if I find out it is the wrong sail number then I pretty much need to get a new sail since the process to change numbers is a messy one or continue to sail under the wrong number. Decisions, decisions...

It was a beautiful hot and breezy weekend here in Central Ontario, perfect for sailing, and I couldn't get out .
Have lots of fun on the water Ryan!

Way to go Ryan!

I've spent way too much time helping friends get their boats ready for sailpasts, etc. I will get to sail on their boats though. As a result Shortwave only just got her spring cleaning this weekend. Greased the keel mechanism as well. Sitting in the cockpit in our driveway was fun but we can hardly wait to sail. Maybe next weekend.
