Tomorrow morning at sunrise mywife, myself and KatieAnn are headed north to Mullet Lake for our annual group vacation. One week with the boat in the water and only a short walk to the cottage. The lake is an inland lake very near the Straits of Mackinaw. Wow I will have over 17000 acres of clear fresh water to sail on. I will have hopefully another great story to tell when I return.
AThe summer has nearly ended and I have not had enough sailing in yet.

Lucky you Tom, and anyone else sailing this weekend! I'll be labouring! I can't complain though, I had a great week off! In fact, I was quite busy!

That was me this AM, spraying the final coat on the trailer!

We'll be getting in at least one day of sailing on Lake Sunapee in New Hampshire. It'll be our first trip there. It's only 4000 acres, but we'll make do!

The weather is supposed to be best on Sun/Mon, but I'm hoping we get out there tomorrow (Sat). Hopefully, we'll get in a second day too.

I just got back from sailing on Blue Mesa Resivoir. Bad weather on Saturday. Great wind and weather on Sunday. A few pictures later.

We had 2 terrific afternoons on Lake Sunapee. I hope to start a thread on it this week, hopefully with a couple of pix.

I will leave it for now by saying it's just won the prize, hands down, for being the best/closest place for us to sail. That is to say, there may be better places to sail, but they're further away & there are closer places to sail which aren't nearly as good... Pretzel logic, but it makes sense to me!
