Going to leave on Vacation in a couple of days, and wanted to wish you all a Great Holiday.

And yes the Sandpiper is covered up, going to do some skiing.

Same to you Sid. I might have to take up a winter sport also to relieve the tedium of our long winters/late springs.
My 'Piper is under it's canvas tarp but I noticed all the wind we get is lifting the heavy tarp up. On Friday we drove over to a commercial marine store and picked up some netting to throw over the top. I had them cut me off a 10' x 50' piece and paid $12.50 CDN for it. I'll throw it over the tarp to help hold it down and reduce chafe & wear.
At least i have something to look foreard to in january...NOT! I have to serve jury duty. D'oh!

Best wishes for a happy and joyous new year guys. Thank you for making this forum so enjoyable over the year. Looking forward to many more thought provoking and stimulating postings.

We put Shortwave away for our first time. First try always a bit interesting. We've got it down to an art now.

When I initially put the tarp on I forgot to tie off the bow. (A little too much on my mind that day I guess.) The early gales of winter slipped the cover off like a tube sock. It's secure now; all wrapped up till spring. Checked it last week. Cover was a tad brittle in the -20 temperatures.

Our lake has just started to freeze over. Hope to get in a bit of skiing after Christmas diner for 20.

All the best, D'Arcy

You can judge a man's character by the number at his supper table.

Merry Christmas, everybody!
