They are a great little pocket cruiser, but I'm Biast. It would depend on whats included sail shape ect, and how bad you wanted that model. This link may help you ; http://sailquest.com/market/models/spipe.htm

Might depend on where you shop also. I was watching the ads all winter before I bought my '86 Piper in May. I find the sellers in Quebec usually want $ 1000.00 more than the asking price in Ontario...but a lot of the boats were more recent models. If you can do some repair work, the CL guys will sell you a fixer upper with a list of what needs to be done. Another good spot is www.sailboatsales.com The owner, Jos is fairly knowledgeable..but you have to act quick if he has one you like. He sold one I had verbally committed myself to while I was waiting for May to arrive for a long drive up. IP: 142.177.35.15 |

I bought mine for $1900 with a Honda 2.2 4 stroke motor. Went to San diego for it. In that part of the country no one knew what it was. What it is, is a great boat.Sid [This message has been edited by Hyprstitch (edited July 02, 2004).] IP: 205.188.116.130 |

You stole it. A Sandpiper will never sell for a price like that again. IP: 67.107.33.106 |

In Canada you would be right. Hard to sell one here. Not that no one would buy it. Not sure they would come out to see what it looks like. Sid

Congratulations! Doesn't sound like a bad price at all! You'll have lots of motivation, and ideas on what you want to do with her, by hanging around here . Where are you sailing?Eric IP: 130.63.100.67 |

No motor yet, we're looking for one for a good price. This was US$. Trailer was included. Apparently the boat was sailed only on Sundays by a little old lady going to church. The guy who picked it up (at an estate sail) sailed it last Fall and said it sailed great. We are taking her down to Connecticut to sail it on Long Island Sound in a couple of weeks. That will be our first sail. We are very excited. We have called her Short Stay.IP: 129.170.61.173 |
