Hi!
Superpiper ask me to explain "how to put pictures on the forum"
I will try,but sorry for my english,i'm french speaking,so excuse me for the spelling and gramatical error.

Fisrt
You can't show pictures from your computer,the pictures file must be on your account at your Internet Service Provider
You must use FTP program to upload your file on your account (WSFTP is a good program for this)
2)
You must know the Path (address) of your file (name of the file is elect.jpg)
Example:
the picture I will use for démo is at:
http://www.er.uqam.ca/nobel/letourno/forum/elect.jpg

the command for showing this picture is:

(bracket) img src=http://www.er.uqam.ca/nobel/letourno/forum/elect.jpg (bracket)

The brackets are the symbol of "bigger or smaller". < >

Here is a good link that show the syntax of html tags and the type of symbol
http://www.voile.org/forumvav32/HTML/htmltags.htm

if I put the link between "bracket" it give

and now here is the picture of my electrical box on my Sandpiper
I hope the explanation are good,so give a try

Ooops...many mistakes in my post
The bracket are
< >
so if I write:
img src=(the path of the image) between < >
it give:

Dennis here is my homemade electrical box (sorry,no pics of the inside)
I replace all electrical wires (the original are dangerous,too small gauge)
I use gauge 8 on the battery to the box
A 30 amp inline fuse is on the positive wire
For the other circuit i will use Gauge 14 even 12.The resistance of the wire are important in low voltage circuit.
Inside the box,I made two bus bar
On the positive one,6 fuses,and six switches that goes to each positive cirtuit.
All the negatives are on the other bus bar
For now I have just a temporary circuit for my GPS sounder and portable VHF on the cigarette lighter outlet you see over the box,but next years ,it will be complete
Circuit 1=mast light
2=position light
3=Cabin lights
4=GPS Vhf
5=Lighter
6=Spare (maybe automatic diswasher ;-) )

i will also remove the battery from the back compartement (I don't like to see the battery near the gas tank...a spark...kaboom)

In more simplified terms, if the image is already on a website, right click on it, go to properties and copy the image's location.
Paste this location inbetween [img][/img]. Post and the image should appear

The Mirage looks to be a well found boat Don! You must be disappointed by its sale.

You'll have fun with a Sandpiper though!

Re: pictures, I don't use an ISP, I use my employers account. Anyone reccommend an online "FREE" photoserver?

Thanks, Eric

Hey Don:

If you get really stuck you can come down and crew on "Celtic Kiss". I should be back at the end of May. Just before I headed west I got her ready for a quick launch. All I/we have to do is put her back on the trailer and load the gear and we're sailing in 2 hours. When it comes to being on the water I don't waste anytime.

Thanks Canadian Sailor...that would be it.

Eric..I have mixed feelings about 'Dorothea'
I did get tired of sailing on her with 7 or 8 other people especially in the harbour.
I really want to explore..and you couldn't find a better place than the coastline of Nova Scotia in the summer.
Who knows...after a season or two I'll probably miss the social part of the big groups. It's possible our skipper will move up. He's always said he'd like to get something in the 44 foot range if the stock market improved. Pretty big boat for daysailing....but that's his thing...
lots of people in a party type atmosphere.

Robert...You just might see me motoring along highway 344 looking for your Pirate Harbour next season. Since you don't carry a VHF, I'll try to signal you with my reflective mirror.
How's your 'Morse Code'.
