Maybe I'm thinking to much about this or I'm thinking Dingy sailing too much.
When It comes to the shrouds why do we use turnbuckles and not stay adjusters.
When I had my DS16 we used stay adjusters and the mast was up in mintues and all you had to do was tighten the forestay. Am I missing something with these boats or do you need to tune while under way?

You need to be strong-like-bull to get proper rig tension using adjusters. It may be feasible to use adjusters on the shrouds and a turnbuckle on the forestay. Based on a CL-16 I saw at the boat show years ago, I believe that the shrouds should be straight, the spreaders should be in tension and the mast should be bent. It would be a true wrestling match to achieve that trim with adjusters.
There are quick-tension adjusters with levers. They offer fast set-up times.
