I was scouting a very small club (90% powerboaters) on Porters Lake when I came across this old gal.
The membership is only $ 200.00 + tax per year so I might join.. The inlaws have half a dozen cottages across the lake from the club (just about the right distance)

....modest clubhouse...

Did you look inside the transom to see the hull number? Maybe we could get the owner to join us in our e-fleet!

I tried from the starboard side but couldn't make out the number on the shiny plate in bright sunshine. It didn't have the HIN # stamped on the outside transom.
Next time down I'll try to get closer.

LOL, do you mean that the inlaws will be far enough away from you and your 'piper??!!

Seems to always be a Sandpiper in the back lot of every marina! Does it appear to get used? She looks fairly decent in your pic.

My in-laws are 'wild' Cape Breton Frenchmen.
Most have mellowed out by now, but some of their kids are taking up the slack.
example...just last week, a gang of the teenagers/young adults were partying and one decided to race his motorcycle up & down the road at 0400 hrs. His uncle, at another camp woke up, jumped into his truck and chased after the bike at top speed...actually bumping it from behind. There were the usual fights etc going on. Do I need to tell any more stories..?? I've got a few!
As for the 'Piper, looks like it was used this summer. looked fairly clean and the sailcover... very clean...not abandoned looking at all.

That Sandpiper looks great. Here is an abandoned one I discovered last weekend in a Contractors' yard. It was a sad sight.
