We were at Parry Sound near the end of June and visited Big Sound Marina. There isn't any parking for our trailers at the marina. The attendant suggested launching at Salt Docks and chaining our trailers together for security. Does anyone know where the best place would be to keep our trailers? Any preference between the Town Beach and Salt Docks?

Windy,I expect to be in PS on Wednesday afternoon, July 27, to check out best trailer parking, and evening to meet with D'Arcy regarding regatta location. When you arrive, on Friday I presume, simply launch at Big Sound, tie up at slip, ask one of us or marina attendant where to park trailer, take trailer to parking area, lock up and return. - for cool refreshment. If anyone has any further questions, please do ask. Stan Eric, are your boys as stoked as mine is? 7 days to Rendezvous. IP: 209.239.0.237 |

Stan:Just to confirm: at this time our 2 girls are planning to come. Part of the lure for Mallory (20) and Danielle (14) was the proximity to downtown Parry Sound. If the girls get bored with the adult stuff, they can walk/drive to a movie, the mall, the beach and all points of interest. Are there internet ports available on the dock? IP: 199.243.115.165 |

Are you planning to spend everynight on the Sandpipers or just Saturday night? My darling wife and I just got back from a 12 hour drive from Waskaganish, Quebec located on Rupert Bay just off James Bay. Our 20 year old daughter is there on a summer job. I would consider trailering Windy Island if she goes back next year. We're planning to arrive on Thurday afternoon. See you there.Ab IP: 216.106.101.149 |

We're spending Wed and Thu nights tenting at Killbear. Then Fri and Sun nights at Big Sound aboard Wind Chime, and Sat night, of course, at anchor on the cruise.[This message has been edited by Pathfinder (edited July 25, 2005).] IP: 209.239.0.237 |

Congratulations and best wishes to all of the intrepid Sandpiper and CL-16 sailors on your first (annual?) Rendezvous. I know that you'll have fun and learn lots from one another this weekend. Lynn and I are still knee-deep in mast re-rigging so regretfully cannot be with you this time. However, we're looking forward to seeing pictures of the event and will be thinking of you this weekend. Is it possible to post a list of who is coming, at least the boats. I'd like to review where they are coming from and some of the previous posts, what they have done to their boats, etc. IP: 67.107.33.106 |

It is the eve of the rendezvous. The new & improved sail wouldn't slide up the new & improved mast. The mast has not been stepped in 2 years. The trailer has a jack under one end of the axle. The junk and accessories are still scattered around the house. But you know what? We are ready. We will be there Friday afternoon looking for help to get this boat to float. We'll see you there! Promise not to laugh out loud. IP: 70.48.181.215 |
