Try this from Google Earth Plus
A wider shot of Georgian Bay. Parry Sound is the inlet on the Northwest shorelone, dead centre on this shot.

By the way....here's a shot of our summer mooring on Lake Ontario. We're the third boat from the right at the bottom of the picture. We're the one without a mast (a temporary condition due to re-rigging work) The docks along the bottom of the picture are called the "American Side"....the other shore of the lagoon is known as the "Canadian Side."

Note the proximity of Lynn's tennis courts on Wards Island and the ferry dock where we catch the boat to work. [This message has been edited by Ken (edited June 23, 2005).] IP: 141.117.228.250 |

That's exactly the photo I was trying to post Ken, thanks!! I was able to pan N S E W on the Google site. Just to the west of that penninsula on the LHS, is a larger bay, called Kilcoursie Bay, which is all part of Killbear Provincial Park. Kilcousie is a very popular anchorage, and can get busy. There are a few more anchorages in Parry Sound, extending down the finger bays on the top left, and one other one, which I'll not publicly post here. It's way to beautiful IMHO I'll gladly take anyone there, once we're in Parry Sound though Eric IP: 130.63.85.93 | |
