Hi. My Sandpiper doesn't have a keel table. I'm thinking of making one over the winter from an old wood table top. My question is how do the leaves stay up? What kind of hardware to use? A picture would help.Thanks.

Jacques! Welcome to the forum. Welcome to the fleet. What sail number do you have? Where did you get the boat? Who was the previous owner?

Here is a long rambling thread about a table modification. On the last page is a photo of the table turned upside-down. You will see that the leaves are supported by hinged knee brackets against wedged stoppers. Check it out:

Keep us posted on your progress. We're here for you, Sailor.

Thanks Sandpaper. Very helpful. Sail number 751.I bought the boat last September from the previous owner from Laval near Montréal, Québec. I searched the Registry on Sandpiper565.com but from what I could see, he was not listed. I've sent my info to them but got no reply.

I found an old dining table, removed the top, sanded every part and will be getting the pieces cut to length. Will keep posting progress.
