This year's winter project is to finish and re-install Sapphire's "bow-pulpit-slash-bowsprit". It was modified and welded last spring before the boat went into the water and Sapphire sailed without it all season. Now that the days are getting longer, it's a reminder that I'm running out of time to complete the project.

I've been filing and grinding at a rate of about 1gm/hr. About 100g to go to completion.

Photos to follow.

What have you got on your list?

Sapphire is now floating on Mazinaw Lake.

Her pulpit has not yet been fitted and her mast hasn't been stepped. I need to order a new main halyard from Dave at CL.

Isn't she pretty?

Loc: Ontario, I think?
Is mooring beside Saphire retricted to pretty boats (Sandpipers or facsimile) for Sail Mazinaw?

Dat, all boats are welcome at Sail Mazinaw. There is never a doubt that one of your boats will be the prettiest in the harbour. We're looking forward to seeing you here on July 08.

Here are a couple of photos from Sapphire's Scrubfest. The second one is the common Michigan pose. Enjoy.

Another day, another gram.

I hope to have the pulpit fitted in time for the Rendezvous.

What will be different on your boat at the Rendezvous this year?
