SC 120 Admirals Issue
The fourth release in the Canadian Stamp Handbook series,The Admirals, 1911-1925 has been published by the Unitrade Press. The Admirals issue, spanning two decades during the reign of King George V, is perhaps one of the most interesting and studied issues in Canadian philately. Prepared by Hans Reiche, the noted author of numerous works on varied aspects of Canadian philately, including his recent co-publication The Canadian Postage Due Stamps, this loose-leaf handbook also inculudes a comprehensive price list for all the issues and varieties listed. Following the format established in the previous handbooks, this handbook starts with a brief presentation of the technical apsects of the Admirals issue including design, printers, plates, papers, plate guides, perforations and lathework. This information is followed by a comprehensive listing of the regular issues and their varieties. A detailed price list accompanies the main listing. The handbook concludes with a section containing illustrations of the main varieties of this interesting series of stamps. The Admirals, 1911-1925 retails at $3.95 while a matching binder for the series is available for $9.95. All orders and enquiries should be addressed to the publisher:
