
S.C. 595 The 15 cent Landscape Definitive
Stamp
The series of stamps began on March 17, 1972 with the issue of the $1 and $2 high-value "city-scapes" depicting the Vancouver skyline and Quebec City. Then, working backwards through the values, the medium-value "landscape" stamps were issued on September 8, 1972. The low-value "caricatures" were put on sale on October 17, 1973 with an additional 7 cent stamp added to honour former Prime Minister Louis St. Laurent on April 18, 1974, and a 10 cent definitive and coil depicting Queen Elizabeth were added in identical design to the earlier 8 cent stamp in late 1976.

Caricature and Landscape Definitives, 1972-1978 starts with
a presentation of the technical apsects of the stamps including
design, printers, plates, papers, and perforations . This information
is followed by a comprehensive listing of the regular stamps and
their varieties. A detailed price list accompanies the main listing.
The handbook concludes with a section containing illustrations
of the main varieties of this interesting series of stamps. The
