S.C. 89 Edward VII Stamp Issue

The Edward VII stamp issue was inaugurated on July 1, 1903 with the substitution of the portrait of Edward VII for that of Queen Victoria on the Numeral Issue and with a crown replacing the maple leaves in the upper corners which were shifted to the value tablets at the bottom of the stamp.

Following the format established in the previous stamp handbooks, The Edward VII Issue, 1903-1912 starts with a brief presentation of the technical aspects of the stamps including design, printers, plates, papers, and perforations etc. This information is followed by a comprehensive listing of the regular stamps and their varieties. A detailed price list accompanies the main listing. The handbook concludes with a section containing illustrations of the main varieties of this series of stamps.
