Gordon Klager - Fonthill Kinsmen's Pelham Citizen of the Year, 2010
Gordon Klager, who passed away in December 2010,
was selected posthumously as the 13th annual Pelham Citizen of the Year.
He was a member of the Lion's club with perfect attendance for 65 years,
a volunteer firefighter for 38 years, and served as Hydro Commissioner
in Fonthill for 25 years. His life was the a testament to the value of
volunteerism and dedication, and some of his achievements continue to
stand in our community today, including Klager's Meat, the oldest
business still operating in Fonthill. It is the hope of the Fonthill
and District Kinsmen that this award, and it's 2010 recipient, will
inspire everyone to volunteer and to work for the betterment of our
community. Congratulations, Gordon Klager, on winning this award.
