Dear
Friends,
It
is with some regret that Gunther and I have
decided to step down from the day-to-day operation
of Funk Winemaking and pass the business over
to our friends Darryl Fields and Natalie Spytkowsky.
After 20 years, we have decided to ‘slow
things down’ and pursue other more mundane
interests such as travel, boating, etc. -- all
things we have had to set-aside while multi-tasking
with the vineyard, Funk Winemaking, the winery
and Gunther’s job as a consultant.
Our
transition out of the business will be complete
on August 1st with Darryl and Natalie moving
the remaining supplies and equipment to their
new location just off Victoria Avenue, about
an 8 to 10 minute drive south of the QEW. The
business will be called Vines to Vintages, with
the contact information below:

By
way of introduction, Darryl and Natalie have
been engaged in the wine industry for over a
decade and bring both experience and youthful
enthusiasm to the business. It is their intention
to build the business; expanding on the supplies
we offered and offer additional services. Their
web site is under development but should be
available soon under the banner 'Vines to Vintages'.
Gunther
and I intend to keep the vineyard for the foreseeable
future and we would certainly be pleased to
see you if you are in the area.
In

these many years and wish you many excellent
vintages to come!
