Magda Dylewska, a native of Lublin, Poland has travelled widely throughout Europe and the Middle East. She wrote a doctorate at the Catholic University of Lublin on the Philosophy of Icons under the direction of Father Kurdzialek. She learned the art of iconography in France in the Atelier of Saint John Damascene in Royans, France. She paints (or “writes” icons, to use the traditional term) according to the ancient principles of iconographic art. She has been painting icons for more than twenty years.
