WHO WE ARE The Lupus Foundation of Ontario was founded in 1977 to serve the lupus patient community. Incorporated and registered as a non-profit charitable organization, and actively work to provide information and support to the thousands who seek assistance each year. Quarterly newsletters, a complete library of books and informational articles and periodic seminars are available to all members to assist them in learning about lupus and developing coping strategies. With the support of members, donors and fundraising activities, the Foundation maintains an active program of support to family physicians through the distribution of literature on a province-wide basis and provides funds annually to a a number of research projects and treatment facilities. By participating in national Lupus Awareness Month campaigns and distributing information to libraries and clinics, the Foundation promotes greater public awareness and understanding of lupus as a serious but usually treatable disease. If you would like to become a member, it's only $20.00 a year and you will receive 4 newsletters a year. Just mail your cheque to the address below, stating that you would like to become a member. LUPUS CANADA Lupus Canada is a national association of regional lupus support organizations that their various branches.
