The Niagara Divers'
Association We Have It All!!
|
 |
The Niagara Divers' Association (NDA)
was founded in 1988 and currently has about 50 members from
around the Niagara Region (Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, Canada). We have
one of the most ambitious dive schedules in Ontario. Just about
every weekend from Mid-May to the end of September, we're somewhere in
the Southern Great Lakes. We cater to all levels of divers, and are one
of the very few clubs that offers challenging diving to even the
most advanced of divers. From Novice to Trimix, we have
something for everyone. In the spring, we host our annual
SHIPWRECKS Symposium.

Shipwrecks/2008
was held Saturday, April 5, 2008. We had approximately 470 people
in attendance. For 2008, we had 77 door prizes (including
regulators & dive charters) which are now listed on the web site
along with the contributors and winners' names.
The Fort Erie Underwater Recovery
Unit once again
held a 50/50 draw with proceeds going to the Lake Erie (Eastern Basin)
Mooring Project. A total of $804.00 was raised for the project
and three prizes of $402.00 / $241.20 / $160.80 given out. Our
thanks to the FEURU for their contribution and effort.
CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS - SHIPWRECKS/ 2009
We are now in the planning stages for
our 15th
annual one-day symposium on shipwrecks, Shipwrecks/2009 . We
are requesting presentations in either of 2
categories:
Primary presentations may be up to 45 minutes in
length, but most are approximately 20 - 25 minutes, with additional
time allotted for question and answer. Live commentary is
preferred to "canned" packages.
Short, 5 minute maximum, presentations (primarily
to introduce new topics or presenters) are also being requested.
All presentations MUST be shipwreck-related and
we try for an even split between recreational and technical topics.
Please forward a brief overview of your
presentation and a brief biographical sketch to the Shipwrecks
Committee at ;
