Case Presentation

Following the taking of diagnostic records, a complete orthodontic diagnosis and treatment plan is then presented to you in a Case Presentation appointment. It is customary that this appointment occur prior to the start of any active orthodontic treatment. During the case presentation the following topics will be covered: Reasons for treatment Need for removal of teeth Type of orthodontic appliances required (e.g. braces, retainers) Sequence of orthodontic appliances Type of appointments Starting appointments Protocol for removal of orthodontic appliances Care of orthodontic appliances Dietary considerations Future orthodontic considerations (if applicable) Fluoride considerations Risks with orthodontic treatment Informed consent Financial arrangements - interest-free payment plans are available Insurance estimate forms - all insurance plans are accepted if orthodontics is part of the policy After all the above topics are covered and your consent is given, then appointments are arranged to begin orthodontics.
