Our office is very pleased to offer our patients a full service orthodontic laboratory on site. In addition to reducing the cost of orthodontic appliances to our patients, it allows us to expedite repairs to broken appliances. The close communication that exits between Dr. Riva and the technicians ensures that all appliances are made in a high quality, personalized fashion.

Retainers

Removable retainers are available with custom designs, colours and decals. These are chosen by the patient and can really make wearing a retainer FUN! Mouthguards are also available in many colours to promote the prevention of oral injuries. During active orthodontic treatment, however, custom fitted mouthguards are not recommended due to the constant tooth movement. In this case a prefabricated mouthguard, available at sporting goods stores, is suggested.
