Greetings
from “The Falls”!
There are many intriguing things in life that catch my eye, many
clever ideas that engage my mind, and many well thought-through
presentations that grab my ear.
But, very few of them, if any, will change my thinking or affect my
living. However, there is one
thing that has changed my life drastically—knowing Jesus Christ!
Apart from a few years of rebellion, I have journeyed with Him for
most of my life. One of my
favorite life verses is in Jeremiah 29 and it says, (The Message) “For
I know the plans I have for you—plans to take care of you, not to
abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.
When you come looking for me, you’ll find me.
Yes, when you get serious about finding me and want it more than
anything else, I’ll make sure you won’t be disappointed, says the
Lord.” God
is faithful and because of Him, I enjoy a fulfilled life.
God’s promise is true to form—when you get serious with Him, He
does make sure you are not disappointed!
When you desire God more than anything, you desire to serve Him
anywhere He leads. My husband
Rick, and our three boys, Derrick, Aaron, and Greg moved to
Niagara Falls
to serve God and the community at
Queensway

.
Well, enough about me—you are likely surfing this website to find
out whether you want to check us out!
And that is a good question—Why might you want to come to
Queensway? Some people may be
attracted to programs or events that may be advertised, which we do have.
But, I feel an even further reason for searching may be the same
reason that many of us have for gathering together—a growing desire for
God, for more of His truth, for more of His power, for more of His life.
As followers of Christ, we seek to partner with one another as we
maintain the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace, love like
Christ loved, and to love without holding back because of the fear of pain
or rejection. We desire
together to be a community where we are joined in our faith.
There
is so much more of God that we do not yet know!
I believe in the church. Many
people today don’t because many have been hurt by the church. To
be honest, there is something wrong when the church is meant to be a place
of joy, trust and forgiveness, and for many it has become a place of pain,
loneliness and rejection.
There is something wrong when love, which is meant to be the
hallmark of the believer’s life, becomes so very hard to see.
There is something wrong when people are leaving
the church to find God.
I believe that an authentic community should experience and express
the life and love of Jesus Christ. While
I cannot say that we are the perfect church community, I can say
confidently, that we recognize our imperfections and desire to experience
God together in community life.
Well, please enjoy searching the rest of our website and we hope to
meet you some day soon!
Because
of His Grace,
Pastor Jenn
