MORNING Rides: The
main organizer of the Terry Fox Run would like us to participate more fully
in their event this year. This
would mean arriving at the downtown
park around 9:30am and riding very slowly as a group (parade- style) with
a crowd of about 150- 200 walkers from about 10am to 11am. There
may also be an expectation for us to contribute to their fundraising. This
would provide some potential for public relations and media attention. People participate either individually or as part
of a team. Map directions are to the start location of Simcoe Park. Team Up
For Terry (TUFT) encourages groups of two or more to register as a group,
whether it’s a sports team, business team or just a group of friends. Cancer
survivors are encouraged to register to be part of “Terry’s Team,” which will
see them wearing special red shirts on the day of
the event. Registration for the run can be done online at www.terryfox.org/run
or in person on the day of the event. |
